Nightwear Casuals Collection

This collection was created for a computer-aided design course. We were tasked with creating a five look collection, and had to create technical flats on Adobe Illustrator and use Gerber Accumark Pattern Design to make the digital sewing patterns before simulating sewing in Optitex PDS 19.

Target Market

My collection is a women's casual nightwear collection for women aged 25-45. These women prioritize comfort over trends, and want something that is stylish, but not over-the-top. These women are career-driven, working women, and value affordability and durability in their clothes, but also value companies that pay attention to social issues. As such, the fabric in this collection is all made from cotton and cotton-blends to focus on sustainable dyeing and printing methods, as well as other sustainable manufacturing methods, and this collection has inclusive sizing, coming in sizes 00-24, and with the possibility for custom sizing for sizes outside of this range.

My collection consists of a lace halter-top bralette and shorts two-piece set, a ruffled tank top and shorts two piece set, a soft, oversized, drawstring waist romper, a flowing, sweetheart-neckline babydoll nightgown, and a silky, oversized flowing robe. Page numbers are taken from Fashionpedia pages of reference for each look.
